"Nothing personal: The War on A Modern Stereotype"

We attended a photo exhibit this weekend in Charlotte, NC which displayed the work of my sister from different parents, Jasiatic. Visitors were challenged to rethink their own stereotypes of single motherhood. The exhibit was based on her work documenting her adorable and often "flier than most" children as well as "more than just a mommy" self portraits.

Exhibited at "Galactic Ritual:A Hip Hop Theatre Experience" featuring Sa-roc and Sol Messiah, under the direction of Bashi Rose and Zakee Parker at the  Flashpoint Meade Theatre in D.C.

Shout out to Bgirl Candy for putting together such a dope event! And to Fame One and DJ Ill Literate for making the evening feel so good and to all the Bboys that came to jam..all for support of our brothers and sisters in Haiti. This was one of the most inspiring battles I've been to in a minute. So much heart and energy...
